Mangima Estate

Client work for a pineapple estate in Bukidnon: one map for the season’s calls, from which blocks to force tonight to whether the fruit will cover the orders. Every screen here is from the working prototype.

What it is

An operations app for a pineapple estate. The blocks sit on a satellite map, with the harvest, the orders, the crews and the weather around them.

What I did

The design and a working prototype of every screen: Today, Plan, Orders, Blocks, Schedule, Land and Weather, the team and a weekly report.

How it works

It opens on the calls that need making. New ones arrive when the forecast, the weather or the samples change.

01

Today

The estate on one map. Down the left, this week’s decisions: force B-14 and B-16 tonight, harvest C-07 for a China reefer, scout A-09, where vigour is 14% below blocks of the same age. Open one and the panel on the right shows why: week 11 is 1,140 t short of the 2,160 t ordered, and forcing these two blocks adds 1,218 t.

Fruit against orders

Plan lines up the harvest week by week against what the buyers ordered: a cannery, a private label in Japan, fresh fruit for China and foodservice in Korea. A short week shows in red, with the blocks that could fill it.

The harvest plan from week 39 to week 12 as bars against a line of orders, week 11 short in red, and the blocks that could be forced for it on the right

Four buyers with their weekly volumes: the cannery 1,200 t a week and short 1,140 t in week 11, a private label in Japan, fresh fruit for China and foodservice in Korea
Orders

Each buyer’s weekly volume, and the week it falls short.

The cannery’s order: 1,200 t a week, any size, by truck; its three short weeks; the next three shipments, on the road, booked and planned

Every block

Blocks shows all 27 blocks, 532 ha, coloured by stage on the map, and lists each one with its plant weight, vigour, soil water and when it’s due.

Blocks: the map with blocks coloured by stage, growing, fruit forming, harvesting and fallow, and a table of all 27 blocks below with stage, area, plant weight, vigour, soil water, harvest and the next job

Down to the plant

Inside a block, each dot is a weighed plant. Red ones are under the 2.5 kg a plant needs before forcing, and the north end of B-14, where they gather, is hatched. The panel on the right sets the week, with the reasons beside it.

Block B-14 up close on the satellite map: white dots for plants weighed at 2.5 kg or more, red dots and a hatched north end for those under, the plant weight panel on the left, the week 11 forcing panel on the right and a plant weight chart

Force tonight: week 11, 15 to 21 March, 840 t of fruit, B-16 the same night, and why this week: weight 2.8 kg, week 11 short 1,140 t, cool nights from late October, rain from Saturday
Force tonight

The week, the fruit it adds and why now.

Plant weight on 18 September: 34 plants at 2.5 kg or more, 5 under, the north end 1.6 ha, B-16 the same night, B-18 harvesting, and Log sample
Samples

How many plants are ready, and where the light ones are.

Crews and weather

Schedule puts the harvest crews, the spray rig, the scouts and the trucks on one week. Forcing is sprayed at night, so Weather shows rain by the hour, how long it stays dry after spraying, and the night lows against a 20 °C alert.

Land for expansion

Land tracks new parcels toward a 150 ha target. Each one is checked for slope, creeks, flood hazard and ancestral domains, then moves from desk screening through the NCIP certificate, the owners’ agreement and the title to signed.

Land for expansion: parcel P-3 hatched for steep slope beside a creek in blue, the four parcels down the left, and P-3’s screening on the right: 55.6 ha, 3,900 t a cycle, first harvest Q3 2028
